FUNCTION, DUTIES AND POWERS OF THE SCIENCE COUNCIL

Thing 1. Science and Technology Council Vietnam Institute of Agricultural Technology Application and Development (Hereafter abbreviated as Council) is an advisory organization to the Leadership Board on Science and Technology in the Institute.

Thing 2. The Council is responsible for providing comments and suggestions on the following issues:

1. Drafts of legal documents, regime, State policies on science and technology are concretized into the Institute's conditions.
2. Science development directions, Technology of the Institute.
3. Mission, Main content of science and technology plan. Especially the technology transfer and application of scientific achievements and technical advances to Vietnam's agriculture.
4. Directions and training measures, use and foster scientific and technical staff of the Institute.
5. Proposals for rewarding initiatives, valuable scientific and technological research projects and advanced techniques under the jurisdiction of the Institute.
6. Contents and measures to coordinate scientific and technological forces among units throughout the country ... in order to contribute to promoting strong economic development., science and technology in Vietnamese agriculture.
7. Other issues as requested by the Director.

Thing 3. Powers and responsibilities of the Council:

1. Attend meetings to discuss the development direction and plan of the Institute.
2. To be provided with materials to establishments studying the actual situation directly related to the performance of the tasks specified in Article 2 this regulation.
3. Ensuring necessary conditions and prescribed regimes to well perform the Council's tasks.
4. To be responsible to the President for his advice and recommendations.
