Some provinces have a rapid growth in productivity and output such as Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Phu Tho. Mr. Pham Van Sy – Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said: In Thai Nguyen, Most of the tea area is produced in the direction of applying safe tea production processes. Many cooperatives have gradually shifted towards organic tea production. Up to now, the tea area applied for organic production has reached about 110ha out of a total of nearly 22,400ha of tea in the province.

Speaking at the forum, Mr. Le Quoc Thanh – Director of the National Center for Agricultural Extension, said: To speed up propaganda, popularize the application of technical advances, new technology in tea production to improve productivity, the quality of tea products meets safety standards; build organizational models for production links, Product consumption contributes to stabilizing output for the product, to create concentrated commodity tea production areas to meet the increasing demand of the market, improve tea production efficiency, from year 2017, National Agricultural Extension Center (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) has implemented many central agricultural extension projects on safe tea production, value chain links. These models are being shown very effectively in most localities.

A typical example is the project "Building a model of safe tea production to increase added value and sustainable development in the period of 2017-2019" implemented by Thai Nguyen Center for Agricultural Promotion. 06 the provincial: Thai Nguyen, Phu-Tho, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang and Ha Tinh have built 06 production management organization model, business with 21 Group group participates in product production and consumption with the participation of 06 enterprise. The project has contributed to increased productivity, quality tea buds, Stable output for the product, increase income for people who produce from 26 – 80 million / ha (depending on the locality) compared with production outside the model.

Project "Developing new tea seed growing models, safe tea intensification and processing chain linkages, material consumption in the period of 2018-2020 ”is implemented by the Institute of Science and Technology of Agriculture and Forestry in the Northern mountainous region 6 the provincial: Phu-Tho, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Son La, Lai Chau and Nghe An. The project has built 06 safe tea intensive farming model, total area size 110 ha / year, average tea yield is from 12,36-18,5 tons / ha, increase 27% compared with production outside the model, tea bud products meet the quality standards of safe tea.
