Symposium on Ecommerce Market Initiative for Agricultural Products: My House Market Program

Day 4/12 past, Experts from Vitad-Agri Institute participated in the symposium on E-Commerce Initiative for Agricultural Products.: Our Home Market program takes place at the Center for Women and Digital Development 20, Thuy Khe, Ba Dinh, Hanoi.

About My House Market Project

E-commerce market: My home market www.chonhaminh.gov.vn (Vietnamese) and www.myhomemarket.gov.vn (English) The project is implemented by the Center for Analysis and Certification of Agricultural Product Quality, implemented under the instruction of the People's Committee of Hanoi..

Nha My Market is used to introduce online commercial consumption, connecting agricultural producers and consumers, ensure that consumers who purchase agricultural products on electronic products have access to commercial types that ensure food hygiene and safety standards, have control, have product traceability. Commercial goods allowed to be traded on the market come from safe production chains, from certified production models (VietGAP, HACCP…), has been assessed all the conditions to participate in the market ...

The seminar brought together many representatives from many different organizations such as production units (Hoang Long Cooperative,..); commercial unit (Chain of food stores Uncle Tom,…); Research institutes (Vietnam Vegetable Institute, Vitad-Agri Institute, Agricultural University,..); management Agency (Center for Analysis and Certification of Agricultural Product Quality,..)

At the seminar there is 2 Main issues are discussed and consulted. One is, establishes a public platform for their home Market trading, The focus is on how to set up a direct online transaction platform between suppliers and consumers., while ensuring the public governance of the platform. Two is, how our Market works, in which solutions to attract new customers are proposed (include suppliers and consumers) as well as ensuring that local suppliers fully comply with food safety and hygiene standards.

According to Prof. Dr. Ngo Thi Thuan - Chairman of Vitad-Agri Institute's Scientific Council said, A successful e-commerce site needs to converge enough 5 element: Hardware, software, procedure, people and data. Inside, Frequent data updates should be of primary importance to help customers have the best experience.

Besides that, Communication and branding were also concerned by many delegates. The current, My home market has not been properly communicated to the masses, not reach young and middle-aged customers.

Through the comments at the seminar, I hope that my home market will have more positive changes and develop more, towards becoming a digital online agricultural market 1 Vietnam.
