Conference meeting, share information about science and technology, products serving the development of the agricultural industry between Korean and Vietnamese enterprises (p1)

At this Conference, Many advanced agricultural technologies and products from Korea and Vietnam are shared to promote trade, Connecting Agricultural Technology between the two countries.

Day 26/11, Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences (VASE) in coordination with the Korean Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency (Koat) Organized "Introduction and Trade Promotion Workshop"., Kết nối Công nghiệp Việt Nam – Korea 2025”.

Overview of the Workshop on Introduction and Promotion of Trade, Connecting Vietnamese Agricultural Technology – Korea 2025

Opening speech of the workshop, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, Giám đốc VAAS nhấn mạnh, Korea is an important market for many key agricultural products of Vietnam such as seafood, fruit, spices (pepper, chilli), beverage (café, cool tea dad), food (rice, noodles) and wood products. Agricultural products, supplies, Advanced Korean farming equipment and technology are increasingly of interest to Vietnamese businesses and farmers, favored. The two countries have also implemented many cooperative research programs, breed development, post-harvest technology, mechanize, Smart Agriculture, Biotechnology, contributes to improving productivity, quality and sustainability of Vietnamese agriculture.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hong Son said: “This conference focuses on exchanging experiences between scientists, Vietnamese research institutes and agencies, Korean agricultural enterprises; Share actual test results in Vietnam for some Korean agricultural input products. New technologies and research products such as: Biological products for pest control, environmental remediation microorganisms, organic fertilizer – microbiology, Automatic irrigation system and materials for net houses, Greenhouses will be introduced to Vietnamese businesses. Besides that, information about export conditions – import technology, Agricultural supplies and products between the two countries will also be discussed in detail to promote trade and expand cooperation between the parties.".

Also at the Workshop, Mr. Nguyen Quy Duong, Deputy Director of the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection affirmed, The workshop is a preparation step for a new stage of development in Vietnamese agriculture – scientific place, Technology and international cooperation become central driving forces. he said: “With the active participation of the Ministry, Therefore, the phenomenon of congestion at the border gate will continue, unit, affiliated schools, together with businesses from both countries' scientific communities and investors, I believe we will identify priority areas for technology connection such as crop varieties; agricultural supplies (organic fertilizer – microbiology, biological pesticides, treatment preparations); Smart Agriculture; post-harvest technology, processing and preservation; và kinh tế tuần hoàn nông nghiệp. According to Mr. Ko Bok Nam, Director of KOAT, from year 2020, VAAS and Korean Agricultural Institute (RDA) coordinated the construction of pilot greenhouses according to the Smart Farm model. From this collaborative platform, RDA not only focuses on smart agricultural technology but also implements the Testbed Project in Vietnam to verify the effectiveness of Korean agricultural equipment.. The project is implemented with the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute (FAVRI) and the National Fertilizer Inspection Institute (NCFT), opens up opportunities for deeper cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture.

Mr. Ko Bok Nam hopes that this conference will pass, The two sides will share the results achieved and find new directions for cooperation, towards sustainable development.

Mr. Ko Bok Nam, Director of KOAT hopes the two Koreas, Vietnam soon shared the achievements of cooperation.

At the conference, 12 Korean businesses have introduced advanced agricultural technologies and products, including fertilizers and pesticides, consistent with the practical needs of the business, Vietnamese cooperatives and localities. The event also held a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony (MOU) cooperation between Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences (VASE) with Bioplan Co., Ltd.; Hai Anh Trading Joint Stock Company and Hyunnong Co., Ltd.
